I have a $400 Bonus Play at a book.

I can use it on football, basketball, baseball, or soccer.

Straight wagers or parlays.

What is my estimated value of this and what is the optimal way to use it?

Biggest underdog (that represents a good line). Probably soccer this time of year, maybe ALT RL in MLB

It's best use on a big underdog moneyline. Can even take a small negative scalp and get maybe 75% of the value.

Bet the biggest underdog you can find and hopefully scalp the other side at another book..........Matchbook would probably be your best option for this.

You can also bet a parlay with it, but for the complications involved in this forum setting, stay with the big underdog.

My favorite way is to pick 5 sides, call them 1,2,3,4,5

Parlay 3 teams, all 10 ways.

123
124
125
134
135
145
234
235
245
345

You can often do this in one bet, so you'd bet $40 on each, assuming they pay about +600, you'd get this result:

Hit 3/5 win 240
Hit 4/5 win 960
Hit 5/5 win 2400

two teamers are not best.

it would be better to add a 3rd team to the two you like, and play it both ways for $50 apiece.

two pays +260

my way would pay +300

you'd get 300 instead of 260

You want to get the payoff odds higher than +260.

4 teamers would work slightly better, if the book pays +1228 on 4 teams ( many books pay +1000.

You could get 307 instead of the 300 by betting 4 parlays of 25, instead of a two teamer that pays 260, or a three teamer paying 300.

the bet is the same on all, you need two teams to win.

I would say the best way to win a Bonus Play bet is simple. Don't take the Bonus Play bonus or any bonus for that matter.

Lets say you deposit $1000 and get a $500 Bonus Play.

If you win the Bonus Play and lets say you hit a 3 team parlay and win $2500 you need to rollover the $2500 + $1000 (your initial deposit) lets say 10x (rollover) for a total of $35000....

Generally its the lower amount between the risk/win that counts towards the rollover.

That sucks! Play straight. :103631605

I'd "risk" winning the parlay, and rolling it. If you bet rollovers just naturally happen, of course if you want a fast withdrawal, then pass it.

Not relevant in this case. It is a loyalty bonus and basically found/free money. Has nothing to do with rollovers, etc.

I remember Doug's thread from a while back but did not want to search for it.

I will probably use it for the bigger underdog bets I take in some cases and maybe throw in a parlay or two.
I'm estimating the worth at about half or $200 so anything above and beyond that would be gravy.

You can get 75% if you play all 8 ways on the 3-teamer, OK at CRIS books.

If you wanted to be less obvious, make 4 $100 three teamers, so you need one team to win for you. You'll have a 50% chance at $600.

$300 is what it's worth, maybe a bit more.
