*2008 MLB YTD:

26-11, +13.58 units
*All Bets are based on a "to win 1 unit" scale. If a team is -150, the bet is 1.50 units to win 1 unit. If a team is +200, the bet is .50 units to win 1 unit, etc.
All bets prior to this scale(8/13/08) have been scaled down, 2 units to 1, etc.

Thanks for the kind words on the thread yesterday, but a lot of people do not view this thread.

Please, If possible, get more people to view this thread, any way possible, via bumping with GL or something, or that you appreciate the picks. I thrive off of your messages, and it gets me going, and gets my name known, which is what i want

I made 2 plays, knowing that if i go 1-1 I will be negative.

I cannot denote a confidence, but here are some stats on why I took the cubs:

vs. LH SP = 23-11, .287 BA, 6.3 avg r/g
Last 7 games overall = 6-1, .312, 7.4 r/g
Lily has been dominant as of late.

these 2 pitchers matched up on 6/10/08 in chicago, cubs won 10-5, Glavine lasted 3 innings

Braves lineup is horrible, with or without chipper

Cubs on a roll, Braves falling fast, and have been all year

Only thing worried about the Cubs is their bullpen. Samardzija went 2 innings yesterday so he probably won't be available and Wood pitched inning too. I know they want to ease Wood back into their mix at the back end. I would feel better knowing both those guys are available, but either way Cubs are the play.

Pairing them up with the Red Sox RL for two team parlay.

Good luck rest of the week and go Cubs!!!

Hope Brewers win here so Cubs know they can't slack off.
