Since the beginning of May, he's 9-5 with a 3.27 ERA..........FOR THE ROYALS NO LESS.

He looked really good vs. the Red Sox last Monday night and I was really impressed watching him pitch.

Surprised he is still with the Royals to be honest with you.

Not wagering the game, but my goodness, getting a pitcher of this calibur against a struggling Yankees club at nearly +200 seems like the only logical play in this affair...........it's either play the Royals or pass in my opinion.

Usually, ( I said usually) Pettitte is a good money making loss stopper.
However I couldn't blame KC backers if they a shot at +190 with Meche.

The royals have cashed in their chips, no longer have any clue how to win games.

I have to disagree here Fish.
Meche has one of the worst records for the month of August last 3 years. I usually don't put too much stock in trends but this one I do.

Hey buddy, long time no see.

No vegas, can't afford a ham sandwich let alone a flight to Vegas.

Should be a good time, wish I were there.

Stay cool

NEW YORK -- Yankees right-hander Dan Giese has been diagnosed with rotator cuff tendinitis and will be placed on the 15-day disabled list, the club announced on Thursday.

Giese was examined by Dr. Chris Ahmad on Thursday at New York Presbyterian Hospital. The Yankees will make a corresponding move before opening a three-game series with the Royals on Friday at Yankee Stadium.
A 31-year-old rookie, Giese threw 15 pitches in relief of starter Darrell Rasner on Wednesday before exiting with what he described as a feeling similar to a tetanus shot in his shoulder or a deep bruise from repeated punching. Giese opened the sixth inning by allowing a leadoff single to Joe Mauer before walking both Justin Morneau and Jason Kubel. He then left the field with assistant trainer Steve Donohue

The New York Post reports that the Yankees will demote Melky Cabrera to Triple-A and waive Richie Sexson prior to Friday's game.
According to the newspaper, Brett Gardner and Cody Ransom will be called up from Triple-A to fill their spots on the roster. Cabrera is hitting just .242/.296/.337 in 117 games and Sexson has hit .221/.321/.381 in 96 games overall, including .250/.371/.393 with the Yankees. Gardner has hit .296/.414/.422 with 37 steals in 94 games at Triple-A and could see significant action in center field depending on how the Yankees choose to deploy Johnny Damon, making him a worthwhile pickup in AL-only leagues.
