Hey there..

I'm wondering what people think about the effects of a rainy environment. The rain will effect the distance the ball travels, effectively keeping the score down. However the pitcher control usually suffers creating great hitting opportunities. what wins?

what do you feel on rain and especially when solid starters are taking the mound (byrd/halladay)?

anyone have stats on the red sox in the rain at fenway?

Based on your post, I am not sure if you are talking about rain during a game or referring to making up a game the next day. However, rain impacts the total from my experience in terms of keeping it under the total, particularly after an hour or so delay. I think it is a combination guys wanting to get out of there. Also, Pitchers are changed, game is played some what more conservative, if it is close, teams will bunt a runner into scoring position instead of playing for a big inning.
