Babe Ruth died in 1948 in New York from cancer. He was 53.

Man, I would have loved to watch The Babe play.

1920 — Boston Red Sox owner Harry Frazee sells pitcher-outfielder Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees for $125,000 plus a $350,000 loan. The loan is used to turn the play "No, No, Nannette" into a hit.
