The Super Bowl, only because it 1 game event and the vast majority of games have been terrible. Had the Pit-DET game been game 7, then maybe that one.

If you ask me NYG-NE SB vs the 1994 Cup Finals Game 7. Give NYR vs VAN all day.

1994 Cup was indeed one of the best ever, but what prompted me to create this thread was me thinking this morning about how us sports fans have been treated to great events over the past calender year.
And we have.

Disagree with you on the SuperBowl. Most people kept waiting for NE to take it to the Giants, they never got the opportunity. There was the tension of the Giants attempting to stop NE everytime they had the ball.

Out of these it was the Super Bowl for me, but the Wimbledon finals was BY FAR the best sporting event this year IMO, and the best sporting event I have ever seen.

To be honest, and I am a huge hockey fan, the Detroit/Pitt series did absolutely nothing for me. For the most part it was just complete domination. I enjoyed watching the Dallas/Anaheim series more than any game in the Stanley Cup finals.

Damn, I was meaning to put the Fed/Nadal match in this thread as option 4.

Shit.

Good catch, I was doing this from the top of my head, should have gone the extra mile and editted myself.
