he's a moron. calling it "sticking to your instincts" but this top of he 7th vs the cubs has been a horribly managed inning. for those who didn't see/read what happened...

no, he leaves him in, 2-run double, game is tied.....
ryan theriot comes up, TAKE PINTO OUT!!!!
no, he leaves him in, ok, ground out to pitcher, 1 out.
derrek lee comes up... intentional walk... TAKE PINTO OUT!!!!!!
no... he leaves him in to face aramis... 2-run double, 4-2 cubs...
fukudome up, sac fly, 5-2 cubs... TAKE PINTO OUT!!!!
oh... and he does! after he intentionally walks soto to load the bases an after he lets the cubs put up a 5 spot... which then turned into a 8 spot.

renyel pinto, 2/3 ip, 2 H, 3 BB, 5 ER.... and it wasn't his fault. he should've been out before he faced soriano.

One problem, Fish bullpen short a pitcher (J Miller des for assignment) and bullpen overworked in the Cardinals series and this series as well. If Gonzalez has a fault it is that he believes in players sometimes a little too much. The marlins have been fading and no coincidence it's the same problem, young pitchers, tired arms and a depleted bullpen.
Let's keep Gonzalez around he's got what it takes to be a winner.

There is just no one in the bullpen that I trust with the game on the line. Maybe with the Sept. callups they can put some of the young guys in the pen.
