Shawn Kemp, 40, has finalized a deal to come out of retirement to play in Italy. Kemp will play for Premiati Montegranaro this season. As ballineurope.com points out, the game to circle on your calender is Dec. 21 in Rome when Kemp's team plays Pallacanestro Virtus Roma featuring Brandon Jennings. It will be the matchup of Kemp, one of the first NBA stars out of high school, against Jennings, a first team USA TODAY All-USA basketball selection, who chose to skip college and go to Europe to get ready for the NBA.

Shawn Kemp isn't retired. He played last year in some ghetto league in my hometown. My dad told me he saw him play in the High School Gym and he was getting smoked by a bunch of bums.

One of the biggest wastes of talent that I can think of... He was one of those guys /w talent in all the right places (aside from between his ears).
