The whole title is "The Smart Money" How the Worlds Best Sports Bettors Beat the Bookie out of Millions. Written by Michael Konig. (The host of Poker Superstars) Just started it. So far so good. Its a memoir about how Konig befriends Rick "Big Daddy" Mathews and lands a role as part of the "Brain Trust".

What did you guys think of it? Been very interesting so far

Poetic license at it's best. For someone with my gambling background, it was a waste of time.

Almost everything is like this. Someone needs to write a book more geared towards advantage players. "No holds barred, here is what I think" type of writing. And that would be interesting to everyone. The stuff noobs don't understand will make them want to pick up on it. NYT best seller, what's going on?

We need the sports gambling equivalent of "beyond counting" (A rare out of print book written by James Grosjean that deals with advantage play blackjack.)

I couldn't put the book down. I loved it and wish they would do a documentary on the discovery channell (since they did a fantastic job with the blackjack MIT story).

The big bettor is none other than Billy Walters from what I have researched. You will really like the rest of the book.

If this book's timeline would have been 1982-84, it would be one of the most amazing reads EVER! The shenanigans that went on behind the scenes were mind-boggling. VIEJO and I reminisced about a few at the Bash. Good luck

I look for it everytime I'm at the library but it's never in, hopefully I'll catch it one of these days.

I enjoyed the book alot.

The only thing that bothered me that it was a little repetitious in a couple of spots.

Get my email from a mod and give me your address, I'll send it to you. I got it last year from another poster here, can't remember his name.

Very entertaining read until the halfway mark, then it becomes a repetitive diary. Looks like the editor was in a rush to publish or something. Anyway, still very much worth reading.
