is this just the regular late season tease they give us when the pressure is off. I expected much more of this team this season, but the way they've played the last 3 weeks is a lot more what I expected. Definitely playing their best ball of the year right now led by two aces in Halladay and Burnett that are absolutely dealing night in and night out. Personally I think it's too little too late as 7 games seems too much to make up on the Sox but then again, they do have 10 games left against them so you never know... Be nice for us fans for them to at least be in the race late in the season for a change

getting cito as manager sparked the team, blow jays should of done this earlier in the season... its sad to see burnett leave for free agency.. He's gonna get a lot of $$$ im sure yanks will go after him

yeah cito has really sparked them. they are like 30 - 21 since he took over. i think they blew any shot at the wild card getting sweeped by cleveland last weekend. those 3 games really hurt.

now people are gonna jump all over this and say they were out of it a long time ago but i think if they take 2 out of 3 at home vs. CLE they are 67 - 58 right now and maybe have a shot if BOS cant holdup.

i think until JP goes though they cant be a serious threat. the number of retarded things he has done in the last 2 years ( signing and then releasing thomas and blowing 20MIL, releasing reed johnson to sign shannon stewart who they then release, glaus for rolen trade !!! )

the team can pitch but can never score. so trading away a guy like reed that always gets on base and a 30 HR 80 - 100 RBI guy like glaus was sheer brilliance.
