Vijender Kumar of India won his middleweight quarterfinal bout on Wednesday in Beijing, China guaranteeing the fighter at least a bronze medal. This marks the first time in the history of the Olympics that India has medaled in boxing.

They actually had like 3 guys in the quarters I think. Pretty impressive for a country with little to no organized amateur boxing.
