pass on it. if you need a less expensive place than the heart of the strip you can find them but Luxor was a place i would not stay again.

I actually thought it was pretty decent, and has a nice pool, as well as connected to mandalay bay

Luxor was nice for the price, but like you said would rather be center strip. We stayed in the tower which was nicer than the Pyramid rooms. Connected to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur by both walkway and a free tram. You'll have a great time no matter what, have fun!

I realize you cant change your reservation. However I will never stay there again. I was there for 5 nights during the 06' NCAA bball tourney. Their sports book is complete bullshit. Only offered drink "coupons" for high stakes bets. However for each day we rode the tram to excaliber...a lower tier casino but a much better sportsbook...and drinks were flowing like a summer spring there... I guess one reason for my dissapointment was the Inclinator...aka the elevator was broken like 4 of the 5 days meaning we had to walk up and down stairs. This is not a terrible thing except at the luxor because of it's shape we had to walk up a flight then over 10 feet then up another flight and over 10 more feet. Wouldn't be terible if I wasnt on the 20th something floor. I can only rejoice because it was fixed by my check out time which meant I didnt have to tote anything up and down stairs but I did see plenty of angry patrons draggin luggage up and down. This might be a problem that rarely happens but either way it made my stay, at least for the hotel part of it awful. The sportsbook is adequate at best and for a big weekend like opening round of the NCAA mens basketball tourney it was poor, crowded, slow and ultimately dissapointing. However the excaliber had roll up bleachers plenty of windows, many more tvs, and the windows were a lot faster. I will say "casinowise" luxor was nice I also got a nice deal i think i got a night free but if you're looking for sports take the free tram to excalibur

The Luxor used to be a nice place. However, it has gone way down the past few years.

I was in there recently and there was construction everywhere. I believe Harrah's bought it and they've scaled way back. Morale among the workers is terrible.

They've taken out all the things that made the Luxor unique such as King Tut's stuff and the IMAX movie theatre's. It's nothing but a dump. The sportsbook is nonexistent.
