What we have here tonight are two awful teams IMO. The Smith boys go at it in Seattle Greg Smith for Oakland comes in 5-12 but has an ERA of under 4 and in his last 3 starts his ERA is 2.87 and is pitching an avg. of 8 innings in those last 3 starts.
Ryan Rowland-Smith is coming out of the Seattle bullpen and has an ERA of right at 6. And has not pitched more than 6 innings in his last 3 starts.
Seattle 3-10 when ML is 100 to -125
12-26 vs. left hand pitching
This game comes down to one thing IMO and that is there Bullpens
Oakland’s Bullpen comes into the game with an ERA of 3.52 vs. Seattle’s Bullpen who YTD has an ERA of right at 4(that is with Smith) and is depleted now that Smith is in a starting role.
Give me the better Bullpen when two Butt ugly teams play
