Orioles first 5. Another inflated Yankees line.

We are on the same track.
NYY win one....come from behind and now they will win the universe????

A bit over inflated............thinkin' Balt -1.5

Balt TT or over may be a solid play. Depends on which Yankee lineup shows up to determine if they win. Team does not seem to rely on solid starting pitching to win except w/ Joba for a couple of weeks.

carl pavano was part of that marlins rotation back 4 or 5 years ago when they won the world series with josh beckett etc. and had a very bright future.

he went 18 - 7 in 04 i believe and got a fat yankee contract then he totally broke down. i think he has given them 5 wins in the last 5 years and has missed 2 entire seasons without starting even 1 game. 19 starts since 2004.

anyways be VERY careful with this guy.

Orioles have a horrible bullpen now with Bradford gone and Sherill on DL. Yankees destroyed their bullpen tonight and I'm not risking that again. If Pavano out pitches Guthrie through 5 innings then I highly doubt the Orioles win the game.

Thanxs casey

If he was dangerous he might be making the big bucks in the Bigs.
Gotta fade this guy.

Guthrie is a great pircher on a poor team.
Good record VS NYY........now Balt is hitting???

Definately a dark side with Pavano......but I gotta go with proven stuff.

Is -1.5 outta line???

Pavano made three starts in the minors going 1-1 with a 3.86 era. He got rocked by the Orioles Double AA team giving up 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings for his one loss.

guthrie has the 3rd lowest AL era since the all star break. in his last 10 games he has allowed 18 runs. definitely the better starter in this game. maybe taking first 5 is a good idea since their bullpen could blow it late. pavano could easily come back and get knocked around early but that yankee offense can get them back into it later on

also to note he is only 6 - 4 in those 10 games he usually leaves after 6 - 7 innings and winds up losing.

so a 1st 5 bet might be prudent

I'm sold!
Taking Balt -0.5 -103 !st five

If I like -1.5 and I don't have a 1 run lead after 5 .....????????
This is a better bet.

Thanxs Guyz

If you want play the first 5 and the RL. I'm expecting the Orioles to win something like 7-4, but don't want to take a risk on their bullpen.

Any other team starting a guy that hasn't pitched a full season since 2004 on the road facing a team’s ace that has been lights out lately would have a line around -170.

Yeah but they cant make that the line. Nobody is betting Balt -170.
