Got to admit these games I watched more than previous Olympics was a good two weeks.

As a kid I watched 24/7 but lost the appeal as got older I guess,that and life gets in the way.

I'd say 1984 L.A was last time I watched with vigor but USSR was boycotting and we trounced the competition but was good T.V.

100% agree. That was a lot of fun. The cube and the nest are pretty awesome venues. I watched the making of them on Nat Geo. The blue you see that covers the cube is nothing more than ultra thin super hi-tech plastic. They built these stadiums specifically for the olympics.

The opening Ceremony was the greatest ever. Doubt anyone will top it.

on a side note , if their going to have team sports , they should award the main coaching staff a medal as well.

they only cost 200 bucks for christ sakes..

coach k and his assistants should be on the podium.. as should the coach of the mens volleyball team.

otherwise do away with team sports.

I would describe as a cover up. Their govt. is awful and nearly everyone there would want something different but they did a good job of keeping a good face during all of it.

Absolutely amazing Olympics. Probably the best ran Olympics I've ever watched. The judging in some of the sports was the only questionable thing, but that is a very tough thing to do and there will controversy at every Olympics for that.

Extremely well done, and congrats to USA and China for dominating the medal count as usual.

i thoguht china did a shit job and they olympics shouldn't even have been there. china has fake fireworks and they bumped out that 5 year old girl singer who "wasn't pretty enough". plus the smog is terrible and the audience was trained to applause

not as usual this is the first time china has ever done anything dominating in the olympics...this was an amazing advancement for china in athletics...
