Alcoholism vs Gambling <hr style="color: rgb(253, 222, 130);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Rehabbed alcoholics I've talked to in the past say the worst part of quitting drinking is besides the physical withdraw is the boredom.

Could you as an every day gambler quit gambling and still keep an every day routine with out sports action or would you be bored as action Jackson needs an adrenaline rush to get through his day.

On a positive note this is the last weekend we have to endure as it's go time starting Thursday night.

The Boredom is an absolute monster. There is no doubt. It's tough to overcome. Everyone says 'find something to do in place of it' it's not that easy. It really is'nt. I don't care what anyone says.

This is why I have given up everything but beer. I just get too damn bored.

After becoming a mod here, it helped curb my gambling addiction quite a bit. (believe it or not) But back in the day like 4-5 years ago, I wanted to gamble like it was going out of style. I couldnt get enough of it.

Back then if I didnt have a drink or a wager or funds in a casino to play with, I would start to go bonkers.

I'm glad I have changed since then. But I can relate to what you are saying I guess.

Well I gotta admit when I was single I had a drinking problem not alcoholic per say but drank every day got drunk and stupid a lot.

All by association as I knew a lot of alcoholics and after marriage I slowed down hanging out and I go months now with out even a drop.

Think though I would give up gambling if I could bring back those drinking days as hanging out on this damn computer is driving me nuts.......LOL

All though winning helps but easier said than done as I know 94% of the forum members win every week and I guess I'm that six percentile!
