Red Sox: Lester was hammered by the Blue Jays in his last start. The left-hander allowed seven runs on eight hits in just 2 1/3 innings, the shortest outing of his career as a starter. In addition, the seven runs he gave up tied a career high, which he set on Aug. 18, 2006, against the Yankees

Yankees: Mussina had his best outing of the season against Baltimore in his last start.

Thanks for asking 8ate, we have a baby girl (#2) due in November (reason I couldn't make it to the GN). Hope to make it in 2009. Looking forward to seeing you at the poker table again one day.

Moose's last start he went 6 innings giving up 9 hits and 4 earned runs in a no-decision start.
No his best effort.

Moose's best effort was earlier this month beating the leagues best Angels pitching 7 innings giving up 2 hits and one earned run.

Not a huge series at all. It is for the Red Sox of course. Wild card race is between Boston and Twins/ChiSox. The NYY suck.

Real Boston fans never count there chickens they remember the massacre in '06 at home 4 in a row KO by the yanks in August (bash time) and of course they will never forget 1977. The Johnny come lately's have them in the WS already.
