I agree the dream team would win...but who the hell is guarding Lebron? Nobody back then was built that way.

It would be closer than most think, but just waay too much talent on the original team.

i completely agree with the advancement of athletes, but the 92 team had such superior athletes for their time i dont think the redeem team can matchup.Magic,Jordan,Malone,Bird,Robinson. I dont see 5 on this team who could contain them or even hang with them.

I think it would be closer than people think...Bird end of career, Magic ending...Stockton vs Paul wash...Jordan vs Kobe (Jordan)...Robinson vs Howard wash...Barkley would be a mismatch ...LeBron and Wade would give them fits though...Id love to see it happen but it never will...oh welllllll

Malone and/or Barkley would put Lebron on his ass and make him a non-factor. The dream team would kill this 2008 version that has no true superstars.

The original dream team had a lot of superstars that were all-time greats. Lebron might be the only all-time great on this 2008 team.

Not close.

I am someone that thinks the dream team would win, and win big, but to say this years version has no superstars is ridiculous. LeBron James might have the best start to a career of all time, and I could easily see him up there with Jordan when he retires. There is nobody that could guard LeBron James 1 on 1 in any era. Nobody could guard MJ either, and when you add in Magic, Barkley, Malone, Bird, Robinson etc there is way too much overall talent on that team. The team is pretty much an All-NBA career team with a few exceptions. Only James, Bryant, Wade and possibly Howard and Paul will be considered as all time greats when they retire, and that's if they continue their level of play and improve in certain areas. The fact that Carlos Boozer, Jason Kidd and Tayshaun Prince were on the team just shows you how much better the '92 team was, and I actually think Kidd and Prince deserved to be on the team, especially Kidd.

The dream team had no competition.

This team would give them a very close game.

This team could beat this years team.

Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Ron Artest, Elton Brand, Baron Davis, Rudy Guy, Allen Iverson, Corey Maggette, Andre Miller, Greg Oden, Rasheed Wallace, Jermaine O'Neal, and even throw old Shaq out there for some minutes and this team would beat the team we sent over there.

This team would beat the Spanish team, wouldn't they? Then if you agree with that then it's not unrealistic to think this team would also win the gold.

But any of these teams beating the original dream team. No way!

David Robinson is a HOF vs Dwight the Dunker Howard. Are you kidding. Mr. Robinson would show Howard what a low post move is.

Pure fantacy with the "old days". Everyone always wants to talk up the past. In 15 years people will be saying the same thing about this team compared to that team. Blah blah blah. Nobody knows who would beat who and what would happen. You can have an opinion but to say that this team has no superstars is just stupidity.
