DIRECTV - Free NFL Sunday Ticket for existing customers -
just saw an ad for new customers saying if you sign up for the top Directv package ($74.99 per month) for four months then they will give you the NFL Sunday Ticket package for free. I called them and told them I wanted that deal and they told me I couldnt have that deal as it was just for new customers. I then told the guy on the phone to send me to the cancellation department b/c I was going to cancel. The guy then told me to hold on and he would see what he could do for me. He then came back and said he could give me the offer as it was stated for new customers. I asked him if I could downgrade packages after four months and he said Yes.
So I signed up for the better package at $15/month more than my current package for four months ($60 Extra) which gets you all channels except PPV. The best part is you get the NFL Sunday ticket for free ($290 value) for the season. :cripwalk:<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Great info, max. I did the same thing with Sprint today...I wasn't due for a phone upgrade from them until February, but called and bitched because my current phone battery keeps dying and makes their service difficult to use. They wanted to charge me nearly $400 to switch to an Instinct phone, so I asked them if I would be required to fill out any paperwork to terminate my contract with them since I won't renew when it ends. They suddenly changed their tune and gave me all the discounts they had...in the end, the Instinct will only cost me $130.
I already posted on here a couple weeks ago about how all you have to do is call DTV and tell them you got an e-mail offering SuperFan for free and they'll give it to you. But I'm definitely going to try to give DTV a call tonight and see if they'll do for me what they did for you. Hell, I'm already paying $70 for monthly service now anyway and I don't get all the channels you are.
DTV will, within reason, bend over backwards and basically give you whatever you want if you complain enough. Maybe that's why they get such high customer service ratings...
