3-4 (+1.55)

I dont think Ill be playing on Chris Lambert and the Tigers tommorow, but I figured that I would do some leg work for those that might be interested in him. Good luck to everyone Tuesday!!!

Lambert's time as a relief pitcher for Memphis had not been a success: in 28 appearances he was 1-4 with an ERA of 7.49. The Tigers, accordingly, returned Lambert to a starting role. He made one start at the tail end of the 2007 season; a 6-inning performance in which he allowed just one hit while striking out ten. The Tigers invited Lambert to 2008 spring training but he did not make the major league cut and returned to Toledo, where in his first 12 starts he is 5-3 with an ERA of 3.37.[10] On August 23 the Tigers announced their intention to recall Lambert to start on the 26th in place of the struggling Nate Robertson.[11]

Lambert’s once explosive fastball has disappeared since joining the pro ranks. Once praised for a 92-94 mph heater with outstanding late life, his velocity had dipped to the 87-89 range at the close of last season. Through diligent work with pitching coach Dyar Miller, his velocity had crept back into the 89-91 range throughout much of his time at AAA. He struggles to locate his fastball throughout the zone, and even has frequent bouts with his ability to throw strikes in general.

His curveball and change-up are both positive pitches; working a tight overhand curve that is a solid above-average pitch. His change-up has worked as a plus pitch in the past but his command of the pitch wavered last season. When he is working with good feel of his off-speed pitches, Lambert can be a devastating pitcher.

Chris is a good athlete with a solid understanding of his defensive responsibilities on the mound. He fields his position well and moves well throughout the middle of the diamond. The largest detractor in Lambert’s game is his confidence and demeanor on the mound. He has trouble maintaining a belief in his ability and will often look defeated on the mound when things are not going his way.

Despite not particularly liking the nuances of the bullpen while at Memphis, Lambert’s likely future role at the Major League level is as a reliever. He has the raw stuff to become a very good bullpen option, but he must maintain a certain swagger.

Health Record
Chris has fatigued in each of his professional campaigns, and there are some questions about his ability to remain strong deep into a season. A move to the bullpen could help him remain stronger and more likely to help his team down the stretch.

Good info. Detroit isn't a bad play considering the odds but I think the strongest play of the game is the over.

Kevin Duckworth, a two-time NBA All-Star who spent the majority of his 12 NBA seasons as the Portland Trail Blazers' center, has died. He was 44.

That's what I was looking for. I knew if I needed information on a new pitcher I could go to the man!

I know we're supposed to fade the Rays for the rest of the year(c)(mrt). But what about the Rays today? :103631605

I always felt dirty if I ever considered taking a pitcher like Halladay at plus money. It always seemed like the book was dangling that carrot there for a reason...

I feel the same way, but Halladay is 5-2 catching + money this season. The Rays have crushed him at home this year though, so Im tihnking about tossing them in a parlay with the Cubs.

Im so confused about trading DJ Strawberry. I thought he was supposed to be a defensive stopper?

That team is so fucking frustrating. I woke up and that was the first news I read. They trade the eventual back-up for Nash, but kep Barbosa and Diaw. They must be 100% positive they are getting Dragic, but I heard he cannot play a lick of defense. Im starting to get very frustrated with Steve Kerr. I read they had a deal on the table to get Ron Artest but he didnt want to part with Strawberry along with Diaw to get the deal done. Now he gives him away for nothing practically? :ohno:

This "energizer" guy cant be serious. How long has he been on gambling forums. 75% of the time when everyone is on one team, espiecally a public board like this, the play loses.
