Wakefield is in the top 3 with allowed stolen bases and he is making his first start off the DL so I expect the yanks to put pressure on him all night. This wont be one of his gems and unless andy gets torched yankees will come out with the W. They avg 6.1 runs during this 6 out of 8 run and that O's series could have been what the doctor ordered. Yanks produced 8 homers in the last 3 games by 7 different players. 1 not being a-rod so it may be his turn tonight. Pettite is set up nicely for this game. Hes coming off a stellar performance where he held the blue jays who were on a 3 game win streak and winners of 6 of 7 to 1 run, 5hits, 4ks in 7inns without a single walk while only needing 83 pitches. He could have easily completed the 8th if not all 9 but he was getting ready for this game which will be his biggest of the season. Its known that wakefield has been owned by the yanks and andy beat him in boston the last time they faced. Maybe the yankees dont make the playoffs but I dont think anyone really thought they would go away quitely. They will make a serious run like they always do in the 2nd half of the season and make things interesting.

The O's are a better team now and they are actually worth watching but they still have their problems. Baltimore has sizzled off recently as some of the big line up teams in the playoff hunt have come to town. The white sox arent any different. Os pitcher sucks plain and simple and he should have his hands full with this whitesox line up. Gavin Floyd gave up just 2 hits and 2 runs in his only start vs o's back in april at camden and hasnt loss in over a month. Hes from md and will probably have plenty of family and friends in the crowd. Orioles do have a good offensive team especially at home but if they want to turn this into a football game or something they better know the whitesox are the 2nd best offensive team in the al behind the rangers and orioles are the 2nd worst pitching team behind the rangers.
