What if my mom is from NY but moved to Idaho? Does she think I am a redneck?

In my older age, am quick to draw conclusions, but back when I was a 25+ year old kid (from the south) and took a transfer to New York. Well at first I absolutely hated IT. (Wasn't sure if my divorce or my upbringinging, etc. on and on was my hate....... I lived in Northern NJ, but worked in NY.
Today--as I look back; they were some DAMM GOOD PEOPLE. I learned my abc...there. Will never agree 100% with the New York thinking. But they are some of the finest folks in the world there. My eyes became open and with simple honesty...as a Southerner......The Truth is:

"I LOVE NY." There is no place on Earth LIKE it. I haven't been far, but...........................................
