How to turn good luck into bad

I am generally a $50 bettor with an occasional $100 bet tossed in. (maybe 1-2 a week). I had spent a TON of time researching and picking my games, planning out everything, etc. Very well prepared and felt very confident (don't we all).

Yesterday I had 8 bets placed:

NCAA:
Miami/Vandy Under ($100 - this was a sure thing - Oops)
SC/NC State Under
SC -14
Stanford ML

NFL:
Houston ML
St. Louis +4.5/Over (Parlay)
NYG -2.5

MLB:
Chicago Cubs RL -1.5

So at one point I am watching all the games.. Cubs are down 4-1, SC is up 3-0 at the half, Miami/Vandy hit 37 in the first half alone, Rams are down 21-3 and I panick.... I had had a good run this week up over $350 in 3 days and saw it all going away in a hurry. So what did I do? I grabbed Miami OH in the 2nd Half for $50 at -3 and $110 on LAA/TEX under 10

So what happens? Rams score 2 TD's and cover the Parlay by half a point, Cubs hit a grand slam to cover the RL in the bottom of the 8th, South Carolina scores 31 in the 2nd half to blow out the spread. If I had stood pat and done nothing.. I was up $190.

Instead I "fixed" it and watched Miami OH score 3 pts TOTAL in the 2nd half and give up the late TD to Vandy to lose it, and LAA come back and score 5 in the bottom of the 8th to blow the under and turn a nice almost 4 unit win into a $30 profit.

The moral of the story... gut plays and panick plays bad... smart betting... good.

Yea, I've learned to have faith in your picks. Especially this year in baseball, teams that might slump for most of the game can only need one huge inning and they completely change the game.

LOL...damn man that's a no-no, if my bets are losing at their respective half-way mark then take the loss or hope for comebacks. At least you won though.
