I went a week after the RX'ers with SBR. I found 3-2 SD only at Binions and 4Q.... but I didn't go East to El Cortez/Western, which are the only other places I'd expect to find the old traditional game. Pretty sad, indeed !

I love switch blackjack

I talked to a couple of dealers and pit bosses about it, seems to be unpopular, PO.

I never played it, but watched it a bit. You can switch your second cards on your two hands.... I get that, but I forget what they take back from you, for that.

I'm sure they did the math on it.

That Spanish 21 is another variation, that I barely understand, only the basics, never played a hand of it, I 'm putting both aside for a lot of thought, before I ever play them.

The catch in BJ switch is that its a push on 22 and BJ pays 1:1

I don't know how to figure that shit out mathematically ( I'm aware of those basic rules).

In other words I can't count the game. I'm not Edward Thorpe. I'll leave it alone.

you bust, you still lose, right ?

you get 21 ( natural or not ?), dealer pulls 22= table push ?, or does ace ten pay even before dealer plays ?

whatever, who cares ?

This thread is about 3-2 SD BJ. I'm more interested in experiences of those that played the old game, than these gimmick games... no offense intended.

1. yes, you bust and you still lose
2. blackjack beats dealer 22, but dealer 22 pushes against everything else

not for me.

To count this, what cards do you want to see ?

I'd rather discuss the few remaining 3-2 single deck games left. An interesting tangent, but I want to get back on topic.

Yes, Golden Nugget offered $5 single-deck and I played $15-20/hand.

I've never seen a counting strategy published for blackjack switch

Then you got suckered into a 6-5 game, maybe you didn't even know it ?

Here's some math:

You get a natural (BJ) about every 21 hands, call it 5%, close enough. a $10 player gets $12 instead of $15, you are shorted $6 per hour just on that, assuming $10 bets, and 42 hands/hour.

GN has the best rooms DT, but a sucker SD game, just like the strip.

I'm just trying to educate you ( FW), not berate you.

4 Queens SD wouldn't allow DD after splits.

Unless you are playing the dealer heads up, then I dont think that you will be getting 42 hands per hour

I just rolled into town and just missed hooking up with some of the Rxers for dinner. I was bored and played for about an hour, won $175. I rarely play casino games. If I do, it is the Bonus Blackjack. You have a seperate bet in the two cards dealt to you (6-deck). I will be the first to admit, I don't know all of the odds on the casino games.
