leave his radio show with Francesa? I loved listening to them together and thought they worked well with one another. Anyone know what happened here???

19 years together...a few major squabbles....and o yeah, russo has his own station at sirius for a whole bundle of loot at the tune of approximately 3-4 mil per year

The squabbling was there but was played up by the media as the reason they split. Russo's contract was coming up and I think he had this worked out with Sirius. I think one of the producers at Sirius used to be a producer at WFAN. I am not a New Yorker but really enjoyed the show and will miss it.

I for one did not like Russo, always came off as a know it all who only knew baseball and thats it.

His knowledge of college football was sparse and he always said foolish things.

Wonder who will replace him

I've heard them not getting along had nothing to do with it and he only left because of the offer they gave him.

I prefer national shows overall anyway. They are okay for nfl and mlb, but suck with nba, college hoops, and college football.

I will agree about the Knowledge part, But it was the Other way around when it came to be a " Know it All "

Francessa came on the air today at 1 pm,i listened here and there till 3 pm and all the guy was talking about was `HIS YANKEES`

Meanwhile the super bowl champs are kicking off in 2 days and the Mets are in 1st place.

There's a recent (last week or so) Bill Simmons podcast that is a 50 minute interview with Russo. Pretty good stuff.

Francessa is gonna flop without Russo. And i agree he talks way to much baseball and hardly any football and the Giants play in 2 nights!you would never know they won the SB on his show.
