I've brought my laptop into Vegas racebooks for years.
Usually security stops by or the manager and I have to show them I'm not "online"
Some books are more laptop friendly than others as far as power outlets.
With the new rules I guess I won't be hassled anymore

I'd be interested myself. I'm coming out for 2 weeks in October. Sure would be nice to have my laptop with me in the sports books. Do any of you locals notice many laptops in the books yet?

From the two different people in ths sportsbooks I have talked to they say that you can bring laptops in and use them they just dont want you uisng them too bet. Not sure how they can enforce that.

Your laptop screen can probably be read by the eye in the sky, although maybe not, considering how difficult it can be to read a screen from an odd angle. But if it can be read, they can see you betting.

I'm more interested in whether they'll have a problem with us looking at lines before getting down at their book. They shouldn't; they should only appreciate the action. But it's Vegas, baby.
