Having a great time on vacation, but it would be huge if I could find somewhere to watch the Redskins this Thursday...does anyone know of a spot that typically shows NFL games in Rio?

Great news joez148. I am in Ipanema, but would head over to copa for sure to see the game. My best guess was "shennanigans" an Irish pub near where I am staying?

Thanks in advance sir!

I walked by "club help" today, so I should be able to find it. Is "lord jims" the place on the street behind club help or is it another place? If you are in town, I owe you a couple "chopps" for sure....let me know and thanks again.

This place is great by the way.

No, lord jims is in ipanema near you. Its on rua paul redfern, 2 blocks up from the beach, its near like a river or some drainage thing that runs through the town. The other joint is in copa behind help. Your better off in ipanema its a much better area. Im trying to give you landmarks because if you dont know the area or speak portugues, its hard to ask anybody. Plus i dont want to send you to the wrong place and you get killed or something.

Thanks again. I have been getting by okay using my spanish (folks can usually figure out what I am trying to communicate, but I am hopeless when they reply), it sucks not knowing much Portugese....I keep catching myself dropping a "gracias" when I should know by now that it is "obregado".

I would agree that Ipanema seems like a nicer area. We stayed in Copa for a few days before heading up to Salvador. Much appreciated.
