1. McCarthy over Childress----I regard this has a semi-huge coaching mismatch. By the way, McCarthy is 4-0 vs Childress, and I see this trend continuing tonight.

2. Monday Night home team .....as a small favorite or dog. In this case, a small favorite of -1.5. Yes, this trend has not been as strong in the last few years, but in the grand scheme of things, this will play itself out to be a strong intangilbe over the next 30 years, much as it has been since the inception of MNF.

3. Look at John Q. Public and his take on this game...................

I don't feel good about my vikings pick anymore.

Was going against first time QB's didnt work fading Flaco or Ryan, and Rodgers is probably the best of them. Certainly has the most experience.

Vikings fan here as well, I don't like the way the Vikings D played this preseason. Yeah I know it's preseason, but was at their 1st game vs Seattle and when it was 1st team vs 1st team they were running and throwing on the Vikings and did withever they wanted.

Without our starting safety and our LT suspended the 1st 4 games as well as Jackson not 100% (not that I have confidence in him anyways). I feel the Packers will win and cover. Packers still have a good D and basically the same team minus Farve.

McCarthys 4-0 was also with a verteran qb{can't remember his name} not a 1st time starter.

Loss of McKinnie cannot be understated.. a young offense will just not be the same on the road without their solid LT. Williams being out also weakens the secondary, which is the weak spot on an otherwise excellent defense.

Packers will likely be missing their starting center(Wells) and another guy (josh Sitton) who would've been one of their starting guards...Vikes' D-Line scares me as a packer fan.

Also have this premonition that AD is just not quite as good as we think (hope) he is. Childress is a fool, he's pinned all his hopes and ours & also the future of the team on this kid @ QB. Do I think he's a good athlete? Yes. But so are Vick & Young, but neither is an NFL quality QB. Also I've never been sold on our LB corps. DL top 3, but LB & DB as now constructed not top 10 IMO. Love my Vikes, but I'm also a realist. Hope I'm as wrong as I was on the GG/BG game. BOL to all in Purple land. Perfect foots weather today, compared to that Turkish bath @ Miami yesterday.
