Well guys, it is that time of the year again and we have major plans for the BASH this year, suffice to say it will be bigger and better...We had over 375 people attend last year and thanks to the generosity of many posters here in Costa Rica and those in the States, it was very successful....the over 100 orphans each recieved multiple gifts and the many smiles of the kids were to die for...especially after the RX and Betmania was responsible for building them a playground...
This year's event will be on the weekend of December 12th and 13th..there will be a poker tourney and golf tourney, as well as the BASH that weekend. I am thinking golf on Friday, BASH that nite, and the poker tournament on Saturday...As per last year, each poster and golfer gets in free with a guest and there will be an open bar and buffet with live music, and this year's band will play many songs from the 70's-2000...
As per last year, everyone is asked to bring an unwrapped toy to the BASH(not mandatory)...this year the party for the orphans on XMAS Eve will be a little bit different..I talked to the director and she wants me to have the party at the local gym in the town of Tres Rios...she wants the kids to interact with the town kids because they go to school together...so I am getting together with the Parrish Priest and will organize this for over 400 kids and adults...the orphans will still recieve the bulk of the gifts, but I promise every kid attending will get something...so with the help of Judge Wapner, Don Melchor, Nes, and Betallsports and all other posters here in Costa Rica, we will get this monumental task going full speed ahead...this year I will get more sportsbooks involved and if anyone in the States want to help, just let me know...
I am leaving for Thailand again this week and will return on Nov. 4th...feel free to e-mail me with any suggestions...I will always be in touch with Judge Wapner and the gang....when I get back, I hope that you guys from the states will make an effort to attend...I know with the price of airfare it will be tuff, but looking forward to seeing some of you here in Costa Rica and I will make every effort to get those that attend free hotel rooms at a nice place...
Hopefully a couple of corporate sponsors pony up down here to make things easier...thanks for your time for those that read this post...I never use the word "LOCK" but it is a lock that those who attend will have a blast, just ask those who attended last year...thank you, Arturo
