For The Season (241-250)(+5.25 units)

Another solid night going 3-0 and picking up 3.64 units. I won my only dog play and hit both parlays. No doubt parlays have been my moneymaker this year. Favs always kill you in baseball and I know that, but still play them, but only at -150 or less on single bets. Anything higher I put together on parlays. Who knows…I might finish the season in the plus afterall. Short card for Monday. Here is what I have come up with.

Parlay risking 1 unit to win 0.81 units

Houston over Pittsburgh
Minnesota over Kansas City

This parlay does not pay much, but wonder why. Houston is red hot and they own the Mets and Kansas City is Kansas City who don’t win too often on the road. Minnesota is 49-25 at home and battling for the division. They cannot lose games like this….at least I hope not.

Milwaukee -118 vs Phillies……….I think the Phillies are done. I cannot see them catching the Mets who they trail by 3.5 and they trail by Brewers by 4 in the wildcard chase. They have to win 3 of 4 vs Milwaukee in this series. Brewers send Sheets coming off a shutout. Moyer has maybe been the phils best or at least most consistent pitcher this year and he is coming off 7 shoutout innings vs the Mets. Here is the key. Moyer is old, I don’t know how he is still doing what he does, but he is pitching on three days rest and this is the first time in two years he has done so. Between that and the Phillies maybe being a little down, I see the Brewers putting one nail in the Phillies coffin tonight. Phils always have extra pressure playing in front of the home crowd to win and the Brewers are a surprising 39-32 record on the road. As much as I hate to go against my Phillies in a key game like this, everything points to Milwaukee in this one. I am depressed, my baseball season is almost over for my phillies. I need a miracle. I don’t think I have ever done such a long write-up on one game. I guess I am venting over my Phillies after losing two of three at home to Florida…sorry. If there is ever a game I hope or want to lose it is this one. Maybe I will call this my “LOCK OF THE YEAR”. lol

White Sox -118 vs Toronto………..Some good races down the stretch in baseball. I expect the Twins to win as stated above and I look for the Sox to keep pace with a win in this one. Toronto has been red hot, but they are due to lose a few now. Sox got a huge win last night beating a red hot team with their ace Halladay throwing. I really like Gavin Floyd for the Sox. I was upset when the Phillies let him go. He always had potential and they key for him was staying healthy. This year he is health and look what he is doing going 15-6. I think we are getting great value with the line being this low and Gavin on the hill at home due to Toronto’s recent play. I like this one a lot. I think this line should be at least -150. Thome and company going to break out the bats tonight.

Ordinarily I would be all over the Angels in a parlay tonight as well, but I don’t know how they will play after clinching last night. That is all for Thursday.

I have been taking Saturdays and Sundays off from baseball since football started, but I am going to have to take off tomorrow as well just for this week. I am working all day and have something to attend afterwards that I cannot get out of.

Good Luck Everybody!! Back on Monday. Have a great weekend.
