Lol, actually not really worried about looters, this isn't New Orleans. The biggest problem we had from Katrina were the damn criminals that came from New Orleans because of the storm. Those few idiots gave all of New Orleans a bad name.

No and thats the way it should be....if they cancel games they should play them at the end of the season in Houston where they were 1st scheduled

There is not time to play 3 games after the regular season. Plus, imagine if you will, the Cubs have already clinched the division and best record. If the Astros are out of it then I assume they would just cancel the games. If the games matter to Houston for the WC, then they play but the Cubs have 0 incentive to win, so they would callup their AAA team and have at it. Would be kind of a joke. Can't leave 3 games to the end like that.

Just play the games in KC or something and deal with it.

I believe it was Houston that walked off the field when there was lightning in Chicago and the game was then called in the 8th inning at 2-0. Fairness takes a backseat to satefy. Sending them into Houston tomorrow is craziness.

Not going to happen....sorry Cubsfan....you assume too much. Your Cubs are fading so fast it aint funny. They will be lucky to get to 92-93 wins....15+ games to go....we will win this series aginst the cubs and you better hope the Brewers dont win because if they do you can kiss that best record goodbye.

Tomorrows game will be played NO DOUBT about that.

I am going to College Station tomorrow afternoon and will stay for 5 days or so. Certainly my area will be out of power for 3-10 days.

For Rita we were out of power for 9 days, but that was more of a direct hit

Looks like Ike is going to be worse than Gustav. I think people might have a little hurricane fatigue after the massive Gustav coverage and subsequent storm that was not as serious as thought. People can become lax. I hope this is not as bad as it looks as they are saying Houston will be hit by the eastern side of the hurricane. Not sure if it's only parts but I thought I saw that there is a madndatory evacuation order.

The madatory evacuation is not for Houston but for counties along the Gulf Coast. Downtown Houston is about 50 miles from the ocean so what we will get is the wind and rain.

I'm hoping that if power goes out it won't be for days.

I have lived in Houston for 30+yrs and Like Texansfan said we get some rain and wind....but thats the worst part.

I'm stocked up on food, Batteries, 50gal of water, an OZ of Hydro and some Bars....
