Not the point ... Slayton put the first two guys on with free passes and a four run lead. Pena came in to clean up his mess and, yes, did give up the hit to Vizquel but that would have meant nothing if Slayton hadn't walked the first two batters.
I have had bad streaks. You announced you were up '2000' grand as a first time poster with no accounting for your record and then proceed to go 4-11. Establish a record and then you will have some credibility.
Are you dense or do you just don't get it. Pena came into the game with no outs and two runners on base. In 70 innings this years Pena has struck out 51 batters while walking only 17 ... 3-1 ratio. So there's a decent chance that if he started the inning he wouldn't have walked the first two batters. When you are up 4 runs, at home in the top of the ninth inning, you just wanted to get 3 outs and Slaten was awful. He has 19 strikeouts to 14 walks this year and he doesn't have a save in his entire, at best, mediocre career. Pena got three groundball outs which is exactly what he is supposed to do.
R.A one thing you don't want to debate with me is the game of baseball. Your little leagur knowledge has no understanding of the game. He didn't do what he was supposed to do he gave up a triple and then settled down. Your job is to get outs and he finally did that after giveing up the triple.
Moron, I'm not the one who has gone 4-11 since starting here. I've forgotten more baseball than you will ever know. If you think Pena didn't do his job then what do you think of Slaten as he a reliever and is supposed to get outs also. You also might want to try a 'spellcheck' before you post.
