Do what I did when I went to Vegas for the first time.
Checked in at the MGM and before even going to the room stopped at the roullette wheel and put $6 on number 6. It hit. You should have seen the look on the lady's face next to me when I got my money, put it in my pocket and went up to the room.
fwiw, I arrive at around 7 am tomorrow morning (vegas time).
unfortunately, gonna be there with the gf (her sister's wedding this weekend)
Hopefully when they are doing wedding stuff I can sneak away (I convinced a few of my buddies to go...they arrive later on thursday)
sadly, I can already feel first thing I do when I get there is check into my room, check for internet and log into therx....problems?

First time I went to vegas (20 with a fake ID), me and a buddy with eyes big filled with dreams of hitting it big.....step into the casino, walk up to the first slot machine we saw (next to each other), insert $20 each into the machine (25 cent machine) and watched the entire $20 disappear in about 2 minutes! That was the rudest awakening.....dreams of easy money left and the harsh reality of casino gambling started setting in. It was like finding out the tooth fairy isn't real!
