seems like a good price. history has showed that a team just needs to get in and get hot at the right time. The Mets have Santana and Pelfrey both pitching at the top of their game. They could pitch 4 games in any given series. They have the bats, and experience to win no question. Manuel is a serviceable manager. IMO he isn't going to hurt you. Just as the question throughout the season is who will close the games? As for their opposition you have the Dodgers who I feel the Mets match up favorably with. The Phillies who they have owned this year and have problems of their own. Finally you have the Cubs who are cursed and something will inevitably go wrong. I will be taking a small shot on them. Lets go Mutts!!!

Personally, I don't like the play. The Mets starting rotation is weak and their bullpen is even worse.

I don't think they can outpitch the Cubs, Dodgers or Phillies and don't think they can out hit the Cubs or Phils. I can't see them getting to the Series, although stranger things have happened.

GL with you wager.

This is not a biased opinion-- I think the Mets have no chance because they get very little clutch hitting, and obviously nobody out of the bullpen has any stuff whatsoever. However, to say their starting rotation is weak is absurd. Their top 3 is deeper than any other team in the NL.
