hey guys, i went to cheesecake factory with my gf yesterday. I ordered terriyaki chicken...when i almost finish eating the chicken, i noticed that chicken wasn't fully cooked since their were some bloody spots(very small).... i came back home and about 2 hours later, my body was feeling very cold and i was getting bit dizzy.... and whenever i try to flex my knee, it almost felt like i was slowly getting paralyzed... and i coudln't sleep at all cuz i have to go to bathroom every 30 min.... what should i do?? how should i approach this to cheesecake factory?? i am going to wait couple days to see how i feel before i go to hospital... or should i go right away?

I have a feeling it was not food poisioning....Typically it takes longer then 2 hours for you to feel sick...You should have let them know right away about the chicken not being cooked so you and them could have been on record. Good luck in what ever you do.

I had it back in 2002, Cantonese Chicken Chow Mein got me back then. I think it took 6-8 hours to kick in. No joke, I threw up or had the runs every 10-15 minutes for 17 hours straight(eventually it was just dry heaves). That was the worst stomach pain ever, most of the time I'd be on the toilet and couldn't decide which orafice I wanted it to come out of first because it was happening simultaneously.

Another Corp. (that's overpriced) and thinks their s### does not have an odor!

You'll be ok.

Did you get a bill (tab) with a TIP allready included in the bill?

honestly whenever you have an establishment that turns out as much food as a cheesecake factory you are going to have mistakes.

if you don't cook your own food it is a risk you run, and accept, when dining out.

sucks man. i have been there and it makes for a rough 24 hours but it will run its course. i would call them as well and tell them, worst thing they can do is nothing in which case you are no worse off for calling.

Sounds like botulinum toxin.

But you had symptoms too fast compared to normal progression.

Most food poisoning is from Staph or E. Coli. But since you had chicken, then botulinum is possible

I wonder if you would've gotten sick had you not seen the bloody spots. Psychology up in this mug.

Most important thing you can do is to keep hydrated. Don't eat any solid foods..

If it lasts for more then 48 hours you realy need to goto the hospital.
