2 team 6 point NCAAF pleasers at +650

anyone with any clue realises that 2 team, 6 point NCAAF teasers (for the most part) are a waste of money, even at +100, the reason for this of course is due to a much greater volatility in NCAAF when compared to NFL as well as the generally much higher totals.

Of course there are exceptions, LSU @ AUBURN may be one of those exceptions tonight in what is expected to be a low scoring defensive battle, but for the most part, teasers in NCAAF are sucker bets.

This leads me to ask the question, isnt a 2 game 6 point NCAAF pleaser, especially one that pays +650 tremendous value?

some of these games have totals in the 70's and spreads in the 30's and 40's, surely each point is worth much less when the total and spread are so high.

Does this not make these PLEASER bets great value?

That might be decent. I've never bet a Pleaser ( that I recall).

not enough value..I have looked into it..5 dimes had some great options, other shops as well...just not quite the "automatic volatility" you think SS there is...more than NFL sure but not as much as you think...

A quick analysis of it:

You get about +175 on each leg of this parlay ( which is what it really is), but give up 12 half points, or sell them for about 7 cents each. They become worth more in bunches ( cumulative effect).

One would have to pick very well at this.

I'd suggest action points instead... if you can get them.

What exactly is a pleaser? I'm reading it as you give away 6 points on your 2 teams which would be the opposite of a teaser...and you can get +650 odds on this? Seems way too good to be true, what am I missing?

that's it, sort of a reverse teaser.

looks like no totals, so can't do a side to total same game pleaser-parlay ( whatever you want to call it).

its not a new concept.

I'd prefer AP's, like I said earlier.

ive been betting pleasers this year and they treat me like the parlays 3 out of 4 on 4 teamers 2 out of 3 on 3 teamers but if you ever hit a pleaser its big cash for a small player.I got 3 out of 5 in now with Tulsa -16 and Lsu -8 thats going to knock me out. Was 10$ to win 1200 on a 5 team pleaser.I know im a sucker but cant help it.GL

maybe beginners luck....... but I think I disagree with those above who dont see value here, these pleasers would have hit ALL OVER THE BOARD today, some dogs, many favorites. I will calculate later.

gut feeling, instinct, most cases like the favs, but Boise is a good team and it was accross the 3 so I said why not take a shot with them getting 4.5 instead of 10.5, most books had moved to 10 by then so I figured it was good value.

Ties lose, so only lookin at games with 1/2 point unless the line is very out of wack to begin with.

thats how much pinny charges for you to buy on a given situation,

pinny in general rips you off when you buy 1/2's so it is not a true barometor of the value of a half.

When a team is favored -28.5 with an over under at say 75 or something, those 1/2 points arent worth all that much IMO.


also, those are not the PARLAY odds, set up a parlay at Pinny

that leg seems reasonable since it includes the 3, but I have my doubts about this being +EV.

Sean1 is a guy that has probably looked at these before. You might want to ask him ?

they could be parlay odds, if you bet games going at different times, and rebet the second game, after the first one won... but I get what you're saying. You could also get better odds at MB. They are also NFL instead of NCAAFB, but all I have right now.

I'd also consider Try's statement about these.

I have, but if you ask me, completly without research, my gut tells me there are tons of times that favs blow past the point spread in the ncaaf.... how often have big teams like USC, Texeas etc not only won, but destroyed the spread, happens all the time.....

It's still only about +175 a leg, sounds better at +650 with two legs parlayed.

The research is needed. Maybe somebody with a database can backtest fav's of your conditions for you ?

+175 laying an extra 6 vs. -110 is almost always going to be bad on sides. It's pretty obvious.

Well I know nothing of arena football or CFL, so I guess I should pass on an opinion on that. But NFL and NCAAF, no.
