What a mystery.
When the kid first came up, he was lights out.

Now he's the second coming of Barry Zito.

Thats very disrespectful toward Zito....more like the second coming of Rick Ankiel...This idiot has been mailing it in consistently all year...only cuz the price was cheap I hit it....Il fade this fool next season...as often as I can....

It's very hard to be successful every year in the MLB with a straight fastball and inconsistent curveball, Verlander's fastball has absolutely no movement, that's why he gets banged around. When you're in the majors anybody can hit a 95+ fastball that's straight.

Detroit Tigers - PlayerWatch

4:26 am, March 25, 2013

RHP Justin Verlander is giving the team until March 27 to offer him a multiyear contract extension. CBS Sports reported March 23 that Verlander would not talk about a contract with the Tigers after his next spring start because he wants to concentrate on the season, which starts April 1. Verlander's current deal runs through 2014.

Congrats on win 250 Justin !!

NEW YORK -- Given the date on the calendar, when Justin Verlander earned his 250th career win in a 5-2 Mets victory over the Nationals on Sunday, the performance only seemed to matter within the context of one thing. The Trade Deadline is two days away, Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET. Verlander is a valuable pitcher who has been throwing as well as any Major Leaguer in recent weeks. It does not take much to connect those dots: a team willing to trade Max Scherzer might be willing to deal Verlander, as well.
