Orton is worse than Grossman

Never thought I'd say it but he won't take the media blitz because he doesn't turn it over as much but this team consistently gets the ball at the 20 or thirty yard line and doesn't score touchdowns. I think they have 1 offensive touchdown through almost 2 1/2 games. He simply can't put the ball in the end-zone. Grossman turned it over a lot but he could put the ball in the End Zone.

Sure Orton doesn't make any dumb chances but it's because he never takes any chances at all. If the guy isn't wide open he won't throw it, and I believe he's like 1-19 on passes over 15 yards. He's absolutely terrible. This team is very similar to the Super Bowl team in '06 the only difference is they don't have a QB that can make any plays at all. Forte will soon be facing 9 man fronts.

Orton is TERRIBLE!
Grossman is just VERY bad. He can at least advance the ball and throw it further than 10 yards.

Give him a little time. In their opener, he looked better than I've EVER seen Grossman look.

That's the most untrue statement I've ever heard. For the first 8 games in '06 Grossman was arguably the MVP of the NFL. Then he fell apart. Orton can never be as good as Grossman can be, and we thought he could never be as bad either; but today it looks like he can be.

He's had one good drive where he threw two bad passes that receivers made adjustments on. The guy is an embarrassment. We don't have time to give this guy time. That's our first passing TD of the year. It's an absolute embarrassment. All he did right there was buy himself another game. He can't throw the ball well over 20 yards. He has the weakest arm since Shane Mathews.

Orton is extraordinarily mediocre. But Matt Forte is terrific. 2nd rounder could well be rookie of the year.

Brandon Lloyd has picked up Orton twice big time and I love it. Maybe gives Orton some confidence and now will throw balls that are a little tight.

That a baby Kyle and Lloyd. Hopefully he gets it done. I'd love to be wrong in this spot.

I think it might have something to do with the fact that the Bucs defense has been on the field for 35 minutes almost, but who cares we'll take it haha.

Yeah, Illini Loyd is the go-to receiver, most talented on team.

What happened??

Bears lineman got punched twice and then Tillman came running in to push teh guy who punched him off and got flagged 15 yards. Just a terrible call. Then I believe Tillman got punched as well. Only the Bears were flagged on a 4-10 on the 3 yard line to give the buc's a first and they score on the drive. TERRIBLE call. Not sure how he missed it.

What happened??

Bears had Tampa stuffed 4th down inside the 10. Tampa dude starts taking swings and shots at Tillman on the ground. Tillman barely reacted if at all and the zebras flagged Tillman for personal foul which gave Tampa a 1st down which they used to score. If no call is made Bears would have gotten the ball probably around midfield. Changed the entire game. It was good strategy by the Tampa guy. He has nothing to lose starting a fight there, worst case for them was moving back 4 yards. Zebras rewarded his aggression strategy.

Personal fouls like that need to be reviewable.

Stupid zebras letting those calls decide the game is just disgusting.

The lineman got punched. I believe Tommie got punched. Tillman came flying in to push the guy off of Harris and then got flagged. I also think Tillman took a shot to the face after he got flagged. Horrible statement by the officials.

What happened to the Bears making the playoffs Timely Hitting? j/k

Anyway, as I said at halftime last week when it looked like the Bears might start 2-0, what would ultimately do the Bears in is inconsistent QB play from their starter and atrocious depth at that position, combined with an overrated defense that's aging at key positions. Giving up OVER 450 YARDS to Brian Griese AT HOME? Wow, just wow. This Bears team is going nowhere quickly and Lovie Smith needs to be fired. You guys should go after Jim Harbaugh.

Can I ask you this? The defense is aging at what positions? You never answered me.

Their corners, tackles, and ends are young. They have a rookie safety and Briggs is still young.

There defense was very good today. They went in a prevent at the end of the game and it cost them. Bad coaching but not bad defense. Then in OT they stop them and a terrible call is made to keep them on the field.

Tampa guys knew exactly what they were doing. Good strategy. They had nothing to lose starting a fight there. Zebras should know that and rule accordingly. Inexcusable call.

I had da (dumb?) Bears -3 and it looked like a loss at 14-6 and then looked like a win as they led 24-14.

TB never could run the ball all day long. I give credit to Griese as he looked like his dad most of the day.

The Bears should just bend over w/o Grease (pun intended).

There defense was very good today.

Is this some kind of joke? They gave up OVER 450 YARDS to a journeyman QB on his last legs at HOME. Not only that, Tampa turned the ball over 5 TIMES and STILL ran 10 MORE PLAYS than the Bears. Please tell me you were kidding with this comment.

Urlacher, Ogunleye, and BOTH Browns are all key positions in the Bears scheme who are aging and overrated. Briggs isn't a puppy either and has a lot of miles on him as well. For good measure, both Tilman and Vasher suck but aren't quite as old.

Tillman sucks? Interesting comment. Maybe the best in football at causing turnovers. They forced 5 turn overs today. The offense couldn't capitalize.
To say Tillman sucks is interesting but everyone has their own opinions I guess.

No response to the rest of the points or guys mentioned I see. Anyway, yes, Tillman's very poor in straight coverage and would rather gamble to make the big play. So while he excels in that regard, I'd rather have a consistent cover guy, don't personally care for all-or-nothing guys myself.
