This city-wide cerfew sucks!!

Meanwhile, power outages across much of the city prompted Houston police to extend the citywide curfew until further notice.
Curfew hours are from midnight until 6 a.m.
"The purpose of the curfew is to protect the lives and property of all residents as law enforcement and other officials respond to emergencies and engage in recovery activities related to this disaster," the news release states.
"Therefore, if you are commuting to and from work, operating a business, or eating at a restaurant, for example, you should not have a problem," it says.
Residents should expect to be stopped and questioned by police. Curfew violations are punishable by fines of up to $500.

All bars close at midnight and u cant serve alcohol past midnight so most food places are closed at midnight. Been pulled over 2 times so far.

Thisis also every night Mon- Sun

did they do anything to you when you got pulled over? i did not go out this weekend for this very reason.

Nah...I dont really drink so that wasnt a problem...was lit up on some good shwag though....:toast:
I told them I was just returning from my shop...told them I had to go and reset the alarm...always works

Curfew

Did you pay your employees 100% of their salary while they were out? My dad will pay all of his employees 100% since it was a mandatory evacuation. Maybe he shouldnt though, but he paid them for 3 weeks after Hurricane Rita. At least this was only 7 business days. But only 25% of them showed up today at work and the mandatory evacuation was lifted on Saturday

He is thinking about only paying some of them 50% of their normal salary for those days since 2 of them left BEFORE the mandatory evacuation.

The mandatory curfew will keep you out of trouble MAX.

And more importantly, it will keep looting of homes down a bit. I am sure that alot of people still without power are not at their homes during the evening
