Who likes the Brew Crew tonight?

- Suppan hasn't pitched well in the last month but he pitches well enough to win ball games at home.
- With that said, the Cubs are once again going to throw out a "rested" line-up similar to last nights that had Mike Fontenot batting in the middle of the order.
- Dempster is pitching but who's to say he's going to go more than five. Pinella wants to "rest" his guys, there's no way he's throwing much more than a 100 pitches.

Brewers -110 seems like the play.

Thoughts?

Exactly..

I mean no disrespect towards the Cubs and I believe Pinella will start to get those guys in playoff form come Saturday and Sunday, but there's no reason not to rest these guys and this seems like a "going through the motions" type of start for NLDS Game 1 starter Ryan Dempster.

I have a feeling the Cubs will play a couple of their starters the first two games and then rest them Sunday. Check the lineup before you lock in the play.

Only a unit on it so far and will wait to see the line ups before I add a couple.

Of course it's speculation but this is what led me to believe their line up would be weak:

"Cubs manager Lou Piniella rested stars Alfonso Soriano, Derrek Lee, Aramis Ramirez and Geovany Soto on Thursday and could rest several regulars again Friday, though he does plan to play his starters this weekend to prepare for the postseason.

“We’ve got to rest our team a little bit,” said Piniella, whose team is 8-5 versus Milwaukee overall. “What’s the sense of trying to take care of everybody else. Take care of yourself, too.”"

Offense wasn't the problem last night it was the bullpen. If they use Marmol, Sarj, and Wood they should win the game, but if they use the crap guys yesterday they will lose. I think the Cubs win tonight.

JJ Hardy might not play tonight too as he hurt his hand last night during the celebration.
