if this sounds like a re-post from yesterday, its not.
although the play is the same.

detroit moneyline.
detroit runline (-1.5) (+185)

big time pitching mismatch in this game, despite the fact that verlander isnt in great form. still, this line is tigers (-170) or (-180) in a vacuum. obviously detroit isnt winning shit this year and tampa is challenging for a division title. but the fact remains that verlander at a pick in his own park against a kid who will be in the bullpen during the playoffs is a head scratching line. given the circumstances, still surprised detroit isnt a (-120) or (-130) favorite. going to back the tigers again as i think they will make it as difficult as possible for tampa to clinch. gl.

Verlander is trash and the tigers are garbage no team chemistry , dont understand how u could back the tigers, even thought the line looks like a trap, but so did the Cowboys line against the Packers in NFL two weeks ago , GL Sir.

thanks for the play prodigy. what percentage of your total wager goes on the runline relative to the moneyline - if you don't mind my asking

if by trash you mean one of the best pitchers in the american league when he's in form ... then, yeah, he's trash. make no mistake about it - he is not having a good year. but he is a far better pitcher than andy sonnanstine.

i generally will take one unit on the moneyline and then a half unit on the runline. in this case, its two units moneyline and one on the runline. gl. its a bit of a different approach in football where i will take a dog stronger with the points and then a small piece of the moneyline. basically - 1/4 of original play on moneyline in football. 1/2 of original play on runline in baseball. differs from gm to gm. but thats the basic approach i usually take.

I don't like the Tigers today, as much as I liked them yesterday afternoon but I'll be on this one as well.

Best of luck, lets hope this cashes.

yesterday's play was more situational. the travel and weird start time made the tigers worth playing despite having to face kazmir.

today, the tigers are throwing the better pitcher. so the play is more fundamental.

i think the result will be the same. we'll see though.

This is true.

Hopefully Verlander ends his horrid season on a good note.

I generally agree w/ your insight, but this is one time where I think I disagree. Verlander has given up 4 or more ER in his last 5 starts. You are basing this play on his potential rather than what is his recent trend. These are 2 pitchers that appear to be going in opposite directions. This is not to say Verlander won't get out of his funk tonight, but I'd rather back the hotter pitcher w/ the team trying to close out the div title. GL.
