My wife and I just got a call and have to go to a funeral on Thursday. I looked into using miles, but flights not available and prices are just stupid.

I was wondering if any has used priceline or any site that is similiar and how good or bad have the times been.

It is my understanding that you have to travel on the time they give you. On the return that is not a problem, but on the outgoing, we need to arrive by 3PM, is this realistic or could it be a flight at 7PM?

Thanks,

sorry for your loss. most airlines offer bereavement fares if it is a family member that passed away - you justhave to give them a call.

have not used priceline for flights, but ALWAYS use it for personal rental cars (name your own price).

Once you book, you should know your exact flight & times.

I've never been a big fan of priceline for hotels or flights--you can really get jacked around.

Do a little research on the net about priceline.com. If you know how to work it you can get sick deals.

For example - have to work in JAX for a couple days this week and am staying at the airport Holiday Inn for $45 a night. Shit like that. Never used it for airfare but it is money for hotels and rental cars.
