Chicago White Sox "BLACKOUT" Tonight : Funeral or Victory???

The Chicago White Sox front office have asked their fans to wear all black to create a "BLACKOUT". http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/new...t_id=3573904&vkey=news_cws&fext=.jsp&c_id=cws

Does that sound familiar to anyone. ie: Georgia v. Alabama. Yikes. Will this "BLACKOUT" entice a victory or are they setting themselves up for a funeral???

Wow somebody can't take a metaphor. Guess you had Georgia last Saturday. I was just posing the question will the blackout have any effect on the game. I like the White Sox in this game, just wanted to get people's input. Gosh, sorry for this useless thread, my bad... :howdy:

Gohogs thread has some info not sure if it is correct. When a team plays 3 different teams in a row,team usually wins 2 games 10-0 so far.

What the fans are wearing has zero effect on the outcome of a game. It was a stupid metaphor and you should be sorry for starting such a useless thread and wasting everybody's time in the process.

I have a better idea. I would tell my fans to bring 2 shirts to the game. Wear your black shirts in the bottom half of each inning while the Sox bat. After the end of each inning, all fans throw on their white shirts so that minnesota's batters have a hard time seeing the ball with the white background.
