Throw the stats out. I think it will come down to who has more heart. The yankees did not play like a team and there batting avgs. were higher than tampas but tampa had heart.I hope it is tampa and la dodgers just to stick it to hank!

Fun Fact - Red Sox since record since summer 2006 vs AL teams with winning records = 21-52

I really can't see the Angels getting past both Boston and Tampa Bay. imo both are better teams. The winner of the lad/chc series will rep. the NL. That series is a complete toss up imo.

It will be LAD/CHC vs TB/BOS in the World Series. I would lean to both Chicago and Tampa Bay.

The Angels are the best team with the best record for a reason they will steamroll into the WS. I'm kind of concerned with your Cubs pick though, 100 years and haven't been to world series since '45 is it. IMO they will find a way to implode. Also, IMO the angels may steamroll this red sox team, all about redemption. Best of Luck

How is that even possible?

That makes zero sense.

21 wins against American League teams with winning records in back-to-back 95 win seasons.

So you're telling me they've won 190 games the last two seasons and plenty more in the summer of '06, and yet they've only won 21 games against teams with winning records?

That stat is false.

This year
vs LAA 1-9
vs NYY 9-9
vs TB 8-10
vs Tor 9-9
vs CWS 4-3
vs Min 4-3

Not exactly worldbeaters.

They have the best record because of their division. The Red Sox and Rays records to me are FAR more impressive. The O's might come second in the AL West and they finished last by far in the East. The Angels are a good team, but not as good as Boston or TB imo.

I guess we'll see though.

So using that logic we should not give the Patriots so much credit b/c they dominated the weak AFC East for years? You play the game the right way and good things will happen.

Oh, thank the lord.

Somebody who isn't a fucking retard.

Playing 57 games against triple-a teams (Mariners, Athletics, Rangers) is the reason why they won 100 games. Still impressive, but like you said, winning 95 games in the AL East is far more impressive.

There's a difference. They went on to win 3 Super Bowls, and usually dominated outside the conference as well. If you put the Angels in the AL East I'm not convinced they would make the playoffs. 4 legitimate playoff teams in that division. When they Angels end up with the best record by what, 2 or 3 games, you can't really brag about it imo when the Rays and Sox had MUCH tougher schedules. I think the Jays and Yanks could have gotten around 95 wins in that division if they switched places with the Angels.
