MistaFlava's 2008 MLB Playoffs Record: 2-0 (+13.25 Units)

The baseball playoffs are and always will be fun to bet on because it's the only time you can guarantee guys on both sides of the ball actually care about the game and the only time you can get a full nine inning effort from just about everyone. On that note, I had a great record in 2007 and actually had the Red Sox in all their games against Colorado but the race is a bit tougher this season and it won't be all about pitching matchups. Enjoy the selections.

Divisional Series: 2-0 (+13.25 Units)

They key to betting on baseball playoffs is to bet on the team that wants it more not the team that needs it more. Just because a team is down 1-0 or 2-0 in the series and needs to win the next game, that just doesn't matter. You can tail, fade or just follow. Good Luck to all!

Thursday, October 2

Tampa Bay Rays ML -178 (5 Units)

Milwaukee Brewers ML -132 (5 units)

Chicago Cubs ML -167 (5 Units)

i agree with this statement which is why im confused about the rays play. i think chicago has proved how much they want it in these last 3 games of the year. tb meanwhile has had time off to think about what a great year they had and should be happy with that.

Ya I hear ya but the White Sox are 1-10 in Vazquez last 11 starts against AL East teams and Shields is lights out at home.

I'm pounding the White Sox tomorrow regardless of today's outcome. Rays to the bank for now.

Some food for thought:

White Sox vs. Rays

  • White Sox are 1-10 in Vazquez's last 11 starts vs. American League East.

Brewers vs. Phillies

  • Phillies are 1-8 in Myers' last 9 starts with 7 or more days of rest.

Dodgers vs. Cubs

  • Cubs are 8-3 in Zambranos last 11 starts.

GL today. I will probably be with you on all of these except for the Cubs. I think Z's emotions will get the better of him and he will start leaving the ball over the plate, and we saw yesterday where it will go if that happens.

The LAD showed me yesterday that they wanted it more. The Cubs just seemed to go through the motions and didn't look confident at all.
Did you see Soriano jog after the ball that got hit past him late in the game. It seemed like he knew the first game was over.

But the bottom line is they all want it more (to win).
It still comes down to, who can get the clutch hit or hits to win the game, and who's bullpen can shut the other team down.

GL today Buddy!!

The primary and probably the main reason why the Cubs lost yesterday was because Demster was somewhat awful from the third inning on, that is until he was pulled and the damage was done. The guy couldn't find the corners and was all over the place from that third inning onward. He escaped a bases loaded jam just prior to the grand slam inning and at this level you can't (1) walk as many as he did and (2) load the bases twice and expect to escape unscathed from either scenario. It should be somewhat chilly in the windy city tonight and it'll be interesting to see how the ball carries as well. Total set at 8.5.

Shields is a guy you only bet on at home, CC is a monster and the only reason the Brewers are in the playoffs and Zambrano lives for big games like this.

GL, lets cash these.
