All you have to do is watch the finish. Tony finished second but was placed first within 2 minutes of finish. Simply ridiculous to DQ winner so quickly. If you watch the finish Reagan Smith goes to pass Tony on the outside, Tony moves up track to block the pass, Reagan Smith darts to the bottom has a clear lane until moves back down to force Reagan off the track. Reagan still won the race only to be DQ'ed. Officials took less than 2 minutes to move the much more famous Stewart to 1st. In my eyes Nascar has lost any ingerity they had.

It is a weird rule and a judgement call. I was watching Speed channel last night with Biffle and Waltrip, and Biffle agrees with you. He said Smith had 2 options....either move down below the yellow line to avoid contact or to stay there, wreck with Tony, and take out the rest of the field.

I agreed with you and Biffle, with Smith deserving to win the race.

Every sport has some rules that need to be adjusted...NFL, PGA, MLB...they all change rules after each year to prevent a situation from happening again...I hope Nascar looks into this one, b/c all it does is penalize someone for being thoughtful of the 20 cars behind him. If anything, Tony should be penalized for causing this and he should finish 18th:pope:
