The guy needs to play somewhere. It's pure comedy watching this guy either miss a kick by a mile, or even better is when he hits it and celebrates like he just threw the game winning TD in the Super Bowl. The guy is hilarious.

Even yesterday he went crazy after hitting the 53 yard FG, even after having one blocked for a TD earlier.

To be fair the guy has a bad groin, but the Saints knew it and put him out there anyway...Peyton has made some DUMBBBBBBBBB moves this year not the least of which is now getting the Refs pulling for the other team...
Its no different than poker, you can beat every guy at the table but if you cant beat the dealer it doesnt matter....No way they can beat ANY team and the Refs. This could ruin his career if he doesnt let it blow over...

And to make it worse...THEY ARE NOT TRYING OUT KICKERS....AND Porter is out for the year...That means David moves back into the starting spot and THAT means the Saints season is over..........

based on responses from several agents, the Saints have not made inquiries about some of the top kickers in the free-agent market, including Taylor Mehlhaff.

Although Saints Coach Sean Payton made a heat-of-the-moment reference to removing some repeat offenders from the lineup after Monday night's game, he declined to discuss any potential personnel changes Tuesday morning.

"I'm not ready to answer questions about who my guys are right now. It's the day after the game, and I know better," said Payton when asked specifically if Gramatica is still his guy.

But he didn't exactly offer a vote of confidence.

"I don't think we're in a position where we're going to bring in kickers for tryouts, because we've got a pretty good idea of who's available," Payton said. "I'm not sure if Martin is 100-percent healthy right now (with a nagging groin injury), let alone whether he's my guy. So we'll see."

They ARE trying out and SEARCHING for a kicker. Don't believe everything you read in the papers. My source is better than your source! :missingte

Mehlheff is already in N.O.

Unless he totally fucks up in practice today, he will be the Saints kicker on Sunday.

This is a done deal.

Payton should have let Minn score with 1:15 left which would have given Brees ample time to drive for tying touchdown. Instead he let clock run down to 13 seconds and let Minn win with chip shot FG. So obvious to me what should have been done yet he just sits there and watches hopes go down the drain. Of course, Peterson could have pulled a "westbrook" but that's not very likely. I thought Payton was a sharp guy for whatever reasons, but appears he's just as dopey as 95% of the other head coaches.

He was asked about that and said he would not have done that unless it was first and goal.

They could still get a first down at the 14.
Which means they could have run the clock down to 0.
