Love the Red Sox in this spot. As a die-hard Sox fan, I personally believe we've already played the best team we will face in the post season even though LAA didn't show up as much as most expected.

Tampa Bay is alot scarier in a five game set IMO. Boston's starters are better than Tampa's, and even with their terrible record at Tampa this year, I do believe their post season experience will prove to be key in this series.

Tampa won't be easy... I'm expecting Boston -130 as a series price? Seems odd they would be favored to the team that beat them out for the division and absolutely owned them at home, but Vegas knows the post season is a whole new ball game.

Boston's offense really has not clicked yet. I don't expect the same crappy numbers from Pedroia in the ALCS. He had a terrible ALDS last year and then went off in the ALCS, and I'm expecting the same this year. He is the spark plug in this offense, and if they get him going along with a bit more production from Ortiz... I do not see this team being beat by anyone.

Count me in for a series play on the Sox. I'd be shocked if it's anything above 1.3 or 1.4 - what you guys think?

Pinny has -125/+115 with Boston as the favorite. Already on TB. They shouldn't be dogs with home field advantage. TB probably has the most talented team in the AL, and I'd only put the Cubs ahead of them as far as the whole MLB goes.

betjam still doesn't have the series line posted, wondering if they are trying to figure out the market a bit before posting it by watching action on other sites.

as for Tampa having more talent... little talk about Crawford even though he's one of their better hitters. No formal lineup from Tampa yet I don't believe for the ALCS, but there's a decent chance they'll be without Persivel as well right?

Not having an active Lowell hurts on offense and defense but I think Boston wins this series in 7. Their starting pitching is very tough to beat in a seven game set.

I think Boston has a great shot at winning game one with presumably Dice-K on the mound to open the series. Also let's not forget Wakefield is literally unhittable in domes... he will certainly play a role in this series IMO.
