I have been trying to get a way to watch tv on my computer and even record shows off my computer. The big problem i have had was/is connecting my pc to my satelite box. Biggest thing being distance between my pc and my entertainment center. I have tried everything, even went out and bought one of these converter gadgets that you are supposed to connect your tv to then the data would be transferred to your pc.

Big problem here is that all this crap didnt work for satelite tv. You need a bunch of video wires (no HD) for this to work. I am not interested in watching analog tv after blowing wads of cash on my pc screen!

Finally last night i thought about the slingbox, it can solve all my problems and then some! Right? I can watch HD tv on my computer, and even still watch it when i travel. Killing two birds with one stone.:aktion033

I have credit card ready to order it, i just have to ask people who have used it for some advice.

How do you like it?

Does it show true HD for those that have the hd option?

Are you able to record shows right onto your pc?

(I am an avid football fan and can do great game break downs based on watching film alone. I need to be able to watch the games though and record as many games as possible. I dont even need stat sheets. I have worked for one one pro team, 3 college teams and some high school teams) Currently leading my Fantasy football team by 167 points.)
Pro football is my best because coaches and teams are more predictable than college.)

You need the Slingbox Pro to handle the HD devices and yes it is the shit and worth every cent it costs. Anybody who has high speed internet and satellite/cable box should have one.
