What does that usually mean when the ML favorite is the underdog on the RL?

I don't bet baseball much and have seen this a couple times before, but haven't made a connection.

Thanks

The runline on the favorite would mean the favorite -1.5 runs, so you have to win by two runs to win the bet.

MLB Baseball - Fri 10/10
Game Run Line Money Line Total Runs More
Fri 10/10 903 Boston Red Sox
D. Matsuzaka +1.5 -206 +105 OVER 8 -108
05:35 PM 904 Tampa Bay Rays
J. Shields -1.5 +186 -113 UNDER 8 -102

Im not sure what you're asking, but i will answer with my best guess at what you're after...

If a team is a fave on the ML but does not have the -1.5 RL option that faves normally have and instead has the +1.5 RL normally associated with dogs, it likely means that this team opened as the underdog and was bet up to the favorite. Some books offer alternate run-lines, where you can get both RL options on both the fave and the dog, some don't...

doug... i know what rl means.. i was askin what it means when a ml faverite is gettin the run and a half instead of layin it thats all. i seen it on the bosx/rays game 1 thats why i asked. it's jus weird to tsee the home team an ml fave but gettin the runs on the rl thats all. didn't understand why books do that.
